First day(s)

My peeps are back into the swing of things. I love these first few days when there is no arguing, (well I should say limited arguing) friends bounce out of bed and get dressed quickly! We skip downstairs were we share a warm breakfast around the table...Ha! Ok so they come downstairs and have cold cereal with some microwaved sausage. any whoo here are three, only two going on the bus that day, on the actual 1st day. Jesse's first day was 2 days later. This girl has been trying to get on that bus for 3 years! Every other year she has walked right on with the big kids hoping we wouldn't notice! This year she got to go on legit!  grace 5th, wyatt 3rd jesse k mae heading to red Here they are all lined up getting on, notice Jesse is last in the line, Grace first of course, she isn't worried about J! she did sit with her on the bus and made sure she got on her transfer. Still last ready to go, not nervous one bit, a little quite but defiantly ready for kindergarten! ...

The dream is gone...

For three years I have wanted this so much... I dont have a picture of the outside on my computer, but it is a house in my town that no one has lived in for about 12 years. We have gone to this house SO many times I cannot count and I had it all planned in my steel trap mind how it was going to look in 20 years when we were done refurbishing it. We had listed our house a couple years ago, but no takers. We just had a realtor here last week and were working on getting it sold! We were really going to try this time, I mean really try. Now, I don't know. Last week I noticed some activity at the house, and I found out this week it sold. Some stinkin snake lawyer came in and took my dream away! I am crushed...I feel like I lost a friend...I am just so sad.  You may want to say right now, 'It just wasn't meant to be'. Apparently it wasn't, but I don't want to hear that now.

Closet to Cubby

There are 2 things I have been wanting to accomplish for about a year: Swap the 'Scrappin' room for a locker/homework room for the kids Take the small closet out and switch to a cubby with a bench Number two on this list is almost done, and number 1 is right behind! This is what the closet looked like before, minus the coats, crap and door. just a plain old white coat closet when you come through my garage door. Across from the plain old closet was a white wall, that I had painted a chalkboard on oh about 3 years ago. I had big plans of writing clever inspirational things on this chalkboard...yeah that did not happen so much.  there were the four little hooks to hang the kids coats on. This was annoying because there was always more than one coat or item on each hook, so it got very bulky. The short little hallway is pretty tight so if I was carrying in a person or bags, something always go knocked off.  the new space...!!!: the picture isn't the best to s...

Instragram Prints

Everyone knows Instagram I am guessing, I printed all the pictures I had taken so far in 2012 about 4-5 months ago at Persnickety Prints . They do a great job and you can pick what size you want your perfect little Instagram pictures. I finally arranged my pictures on an old window frame using twine and some old Heidi Grace pins I had from way back. I love the way it turned out. I am not sold on where I have it hanging, I think I am going to move it upstairs, but for now I am just happy I have actually completed something! the first pic I used the flash so it shows the right color but the second one is no flash so there is no glare so you can see the pics.  Love it! Happy day after Thanksgiving!!

I'm so tired...

A long time ago, Vuke & I, well all of our little gang, used to watch an old Little Rascles episode and the gang was comparing who was more tired. It went a little something like this: "I'm so tired" "I'm 10 times more tired than you tired" "I'm so tired..." That is how I feel these days. It will be refreshing to have a few days home to reflect on what I am grateful for & get back on track.

SANDY...we survived our first hurricane

Thankfully we did not have it as bad as many others, but I am happy to say the rain has passed. Who knew we would have a hurricane here in Northeast Ohio! Monday evening it started to get pretty bad on the way home and by 11pm the schools were all closed due to power outages and flooding, trees and debris all over our little city. Thankfully we never lost power, but that was not the luck for a bunch of our friends. Finally today it seems the remains of Sandy have passed by. The kids went back to school, but many systems have not, and about 4pm I saw the first clips of the sun in well over 7 days. The kids ventured across the street to one not so  flooded area to ride their bikes, they really needed to get out of the house. I am not a bad mom, there were tons of really heavy current I did not allow my kids to play in. The one good thing was school was canceled on Halloween, why is this good, well because bad Mom waited until the last minute to get the boy his cost...
